How PawShare Works
Automatic Fee Collection
Every time someone borrows assets on PawLend, they pay interest. A portion of this interest (the reserve factor) is collected by the protocol. 20% of these reserves are automatically routed to the PawShare wallet.
Liquidation Contributions
When a position is liquidated (due to health factor dropping below 1.0), a liquidation bonus is awarded. 2% of this bonus goes directly to the PawShare wallet, adding extra funding from risky positions.
Transparent Accumulation
All funds accumulate in a dedicated smart contract wallet. Every transaction is recorded on the blockchain and publicly verifiable. No middlemen, no hidden fees - just transparent, on-chain donations.
Quarterly Distributions
Every quarter (3 months), the protocol admin converts accumulated tokens to USDC (if needed) and donates the funds to verified local cat rescue organizations. We prioritize:
- No-kill shelters and sanctuaries
- TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) programs
- Medical care for injured/sick cats
- Foster and adoption initiatives
Distribution Process
- 1.Admin reviews accumulated balance at quarter end
- 2.Converts tokens to USDC via DEX if needed
- 3.Verifies recipient organizations are legitimate
- 4.Sends USDC directly to charity wallets
- 5.Posts transaction receipts and impact reports
- 6.Shares updates on social media with proof
